Set and Choice Works

For the Junior Cert Music course you must learn about three set works and six choice works.

The three set works for 2012 are:

    G.F. Handel, The "Water Music" Suite in D major
      Second Movement, "Hornpipe",
      Third Movement, "Minuet".

    G. Rossini, Overture to the opera William Tell

    Carl Orff, Carmina Burana, First Movement "O Fortuna"

The categories for choice works are:

    Dance Movements
    Movements from Classical Symphonies, etc.
    Theme and Variations
    Orchestrally Accompanied Instrumental & Vocal Music
    Illustrative and Film Music
    Concert Overtures, Preludes, etc.
